Tobacco Free Marion County is a firm believer in a comprehensive media strategy. Good advocacy seeks to help educate a community about the cost and dangers of tobacco and the options for effective tobacco prevention.

Handsel Art and Advertising is responsible for media coordination for TFMC. This work has been recognized as some of the finest local media for a rural audience in the country. In 2007, the National Public Health Information Coalition recognized Handsel's work in print media with a Gold and Silver Medal for excellence in public health communication. Handsel Art regularly collaborates with tobacco free advocates within the state and has shared work both nationally and internationally.
